Event: Taize Prayer Service, Jan. 21, 2012
Taize Prayer Service
Saturday, Jan 21, 2012
5:00 – 6:00 P.M.
Caldwell United Methodist Church
8 Academy Road, Caldwell, NJ 07006
All are invited to come to the Taize Prayer Service at Caldwell United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 21st
In the spiritual practice of the Ecumenical Christian Community of Taize, France, we will gather for singing, silence, scripture, and prayer. The music and songs of Taize prayer are sung in simple phrases, usually lines from Psalms or other pieces of Scripture, repeated, giving it a meditative character. Meditative singing thus becomes a way of listening to God. If singing isn’t your thing, that’s ok too, come and listen to God through the voices of others.
Take a break from your busy lives and find some peace through the experience of Taize prayer.
We’ll meet in front of Caldwell United Methodist Church at 4:45PM. If you have any questions or want more information, contact
Tricia Lothschutz: tlo.tricia@gmail.com

Hope to see you there!
